The questions importers, brand owners and integrators actually send us before a first order. Answered as specifically as we can — where a figure depends on your specification, we say so rather than publishing a number that would not hold.
Ordering
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the model and on how much you change. A standard configuration in our catalogue starts low; changes that need new tooling — a different housing, a non-standard interface — carry their own minimum and their own lead time. We quote both figures together, so you see the trade-off rather than a single number that hides it. Send the specification and the quantity you have in mind and you will have an indicative MOQ within one business day.
Can I get a sample before committing to a volume order?
Yes. Samples ship after order confirmation, with your logo applied if you need to see the branding before signing off. The sample lead time is confirmed in writing when you place the order — it varies with what has been customised, and quoting a generic figure would be misleading.
How long is production lead time?
Lead time is confirmed with your quotation rather than published as a blanket figure, because a catalogue model in stock configuration and a build to your drawing are not the same job. What we can commit to before that: you get a full specification sheet, MOQ, tiered pricing and the lead time for your actual order within one business day of your enquiry. We are in Tianjin, China, GMT+8.
How do you ship, and on what terms?
FOB from a Chinese port is the default, or door-to-door if you would rather we arrange the whole leg. Retail packaging is designed to ISTA-6A for e-commerce shipment, so units survive parcel handling rather than only palletised freight.
Branding and customisation
Can you supply under our own brand?
Yes — private label is the normal case, not an exception. Your logo goes on the housing by silk-screen or laser etching, your artwork on the retail packaging and insert card, your barcode on the carton, and your boot logo on the screen at power-on. Units can also ship completely unbranded for you to label yourself.
What can be changed on a catalogue model?
Panel resolution, refresh rate, brightness and touch layer per model; the port combination — USB-C, Mini HDMI or HDMI — to suit your market; firmware behaviour including OSD menu language, default profile and power-on sequence; the material, colour and hinge angle of the magnetic cover; and cable length, plug type and what goes in the box.
Will you build to our own drawing?
Yes — see how a custom build runs. Sheet metal and tooling are done in-house on our own floor, so housing geometry, material, surface finish and port placement are all open rather than picked from a list. Because structure, electronics and assembly sit under one roof in our own plant, a changed dimension does not mean a second factory to negotiate with — which is the reason small-batch custom work is economic here.
Shipping and compliance
Do the portable monitors contain a lithium battery?
No. All four portable monitor models ship without a lithium cell and without any wireless module. That is a deliberate design decision, not an omission: it keeps the units out of dangerous-goods shipping and shortens the certification route for most destination markets. Touch is 10-point capacitive over USB rather than wireless, for the same reason.
What certifications do you hold?
ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management, CCC product certification and national energy-saving product certification. We are also a National High-Tech Enterprise and hold multiple registered software copyrights and patents. Copies of any certificate are available on request — ask and we will send the issuing body, the certificate number and the validity dates rather than a logo.
Can you support certification for my market?
We provide documentation support for your destination market and specify the mains input and plug type to match it. CCC covers China; what applies where you are selling is a separate exercise. Tell us the market and we will confirm exactly what we can supply and what has to be tested — before the hardware is specified, not after.
About the factory
Are you a factory or a trading company?
A factory. Claronix is the display brand of Tianjin HSST Technology Co., Ltd., a display terminal manufacturer founded in Tianjin in June 2013. Sheet-metal fabrication, assembly and full-unit ageing tests all happen in our own plants in Hunan and Shenzhen. The people quoting you have access to the line that will run your order — there is no agent in between.
Which portable monitor sizes do you make?
Four: 16.1″ and 18.5″ at 2560 × 1600 with 144 Hz and 10-point touch, 17.3″ at 1920 × 1080, and 15.6″ — the highest-volume size in the category and the one we configure most, from 60 Hz Full HD up to a 165 Hz panel or a touch layer on the same chassis. All four share the same USB-C power architecture, the same magnetic cover-stand and the same assembly line, so a mixed order ships from one factory on one lead time with one point of contact.
Do you only make portable monitors?
No. Portable monitors are the newest line. The same floor has been building display terminals to customer drawings since 2013 — hospital check-in kiosks, government counter terminals, lift-car displays, transit and passenger information screens, interactive teaching panels, video walls and glasses-free 3D modules. Over one million display units across more than 20,000 commercial projects, exported to more than 30 countries.
